Guisborough Forest “Red Route” – Is This Really a Red Route? | EMTB POV

We Had a 20-Mile Ride Planned... Then This Happened! 😴 | Guisborough Forest EMTB. This is not an officially Graded Route by the way! I hot this route off Komoot and itbwas named Guisborough Forest Red Route! Darren, my brother-in-law, was up for the weekend and we'd planned a 20-mile XC eMTB adventure. There was just one problem... After a weekend of a few drinks and getting up the next morning feeling absolutely knackered, neither of us fancied tackling 20 miles! 😂 So instead, we decided to keep things local. I found a route on Komoot called the Guisborough Forest Red Route, so we thought we'd give it a go and see what it was like. I'm not sure I'd personally describe it as a proper red route though! 😅 Apart from a couple of more technical sections, most of the ride was made up of forest roads, with a few decent climbs, some technical bits and some surprisingly good descents. It wasn't the epic 20-mile XC adventure we'd originally planned, but sometimes you just need to get out on the bikes and enjoy a ride without overthinking it. At around 11 miles, it was a much more manageable ride for two very tired mountain bikers! 😂 And you know what? We actually had a really good time.
