I have the idea... so why can't I paint it?! ✧ Artist Vlog

I’ve been wanting to create this painting for months. When I didn't have the time I was sooo frustrated about it, and now that I DO have the time... I just can't? What is even happening right now?! In this video, I’m taking you through this particularly aggravating part of the process.. trying to figure out what's going on, how I can overcome the resistance I'm feeling, and why that feeling is even there to begin with. Maybe it’s because it’s been a while since I've painted? Maybe it’s the pressure of recording the process? Or maybe it’s the emotional weight this piece holds? I’m still figuring that out. But instead of continuing to avoid it, I’m choosing to show up - even if it’s messy, even if it’s slow. This isn’t about finishing the painting. It’s about starting.
