Gabrielle Heavenly | ByDelgano Performance

Ghanaian singer-songwriter Gabrielle Heavenly brings the warmth of Gospel, Soul, R&B, and Jazz to the ByDelgano stage. Based in Toronto, Gabrielle is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance at the University of Toronto. Raised in the church and surrounded by a musical family, she developed an early love for artists such as Whitney Houston, CeCe Winans, Mariah Carey, and Mary Mary. As her artistry evolved through choirs and musical programs, she found further inspiration in the timeless voices of Sarah Vaughan and Etta James. Her faith remains at the heart of her music. From learning production in high school to leading her own band, The Return, Gabrielle has continued to bring together music, fashion, theatricality, and visual storytelling while discovering her artistic identity. For this performance, Gabrielle is joined by fellow University of Toronto Jazz Performance majors JB Ombing and Micah Weekes. Together, they offer a soulful and intimate glimpse into the sound she is developing. Although the songs featured in this performance are covers, Gabrielle’s original music will be taking the stage very soon—blending the sounds of her Ghanaian heritage with Gospel, Soul, R&B, and Jazz while reflecting her walk with Jesus.
