We begin the day exploring some of LA’s iconic scenery before hitting the road on the only direct route between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, a classic desert highway drive known for its stunning landscapes and quirky roadside stops. Our first destination? Eddie’s World in Yermo, California. Known as the "Disneyland of gas stations," Eddie’s World is more than a pit stop, it’s a destination. From fresh deli sandwiches and gourmet chocolates to craft sodas and an epic candy selection, it’s a must-see spot for any traveler heading to Vegas. We refueled, recharged, and picked up a few fun snacks before continuing our journey. Next, we roll into Death Valley, one of the hottest places on Earth during summer, with temperatures often soaring above 115°F. The landscape is raw, intense, and otherworldly, an experience like no other. As we approach the Nevada border, we pass through Primm, getting a glimpse of the iconic Buffalo Bill’s Resort and Casino, which is soon to be closing its doors. With its towering roller coaster, vintage Western aesthetic, and nostalgic charm, Buffalo Bill’s has been a Vegas gateway for decades. If you’ve never stopped here, now might be your last chance. Finally, we arrive in Las Vegas and check into the luxurious Bellagio Hotel, a true icon on the Strip. From its world famous fountains to its botanical garden and gourmet restaurants, the Bellagio offers an elegant and immersive Vegas experience. We’ll give you a quick tour and share why we keep coming back. After dropping off our luggage, we make a quick trip to the airport to exchange rental cars, a routine part of our frequent travels. Then it’s off to dinner at one of our favorite off strip gems: Kaizen Sushi. Located conveniently close to the Strip, Kaizen offers some of the freshest sushi in Vegas in a low key, locals approved setting.
