Bucking spotted gum with a 4½ lb Hults Bruk Tassie pattern axe

Bucking a fallen spotted gum with a 4½ lb Hults Bruk ‘cold stamp’ Tasmanian pattern axe. I hung this axe on a 800 mm Cattle Dog spotted gum handle with a blackbutt (Eucalyptus pilularis / binaroan) wedge. I’ve been wanting to try it out on something big for a while now. Summer storms and some exploration of my local bush finally delivered. Spotted gum is pretty tough timber, but high temps and high humidity made this chop challenging.
