Shining Examples? Part 4: Radiation Sickness Is No Joke (ONI: Spaced Out!)

I'm trying to ranch Radiant Bugs as quickly as I can! This video is the 4th VOD in my attempt. When ranching Shine Bugs, feeding them specific diets can result in specific variants that have different colours and give different benefits. At the end of the chain is the Radiant Bug which gives an unbelievable amount of Decor and Light! In this video, well.. it turns out that dupes consume a LOT of calories if they're constantly throwing up from radiation sickness. We make some adjustments to our Shine Bug sorting, Metal Refinery loops, and Natural Gas power generation to make things work, but unfortunately a lot of the systems we developed in episodes 2 and 3 were a bit fragile and interconnected in ways that made a large scale base collapse quite possible. We could probably salvage this run by reducing the dupe count and slowing down the base, but I think it's safe to say a better approach to getting Radiant Bugs would be to have less dupes on a classic asteroid with the foods available for quick generation of variants without large-scale gambling. I will try again in future but for now I think it is probably best for me to have a break from streaming ONI for a bit. Cycles 77-96 are in this video. Additionally, I am going to try and multi-stream this run on Twitch and YouTube simultaneously, so I should be live on both platforms between 7:30pm-10:30pm GMT. Feel free to also follow me on Twitch to get notifications on there when I go live. -- Watch live at   / erisia_gaming   If you want to contribute further to the YouTube channel, you can also become a YouTube Member and receive special perks!    / @erisia_gaming   Intro: 0:00:00 Gameplay: 0:01:37
