🍎 Lord, thank you for the hands that grew it, the hands that cooked it, and the hands we're holding: the Thanksgiving prayer my mother said over every table for sixty years, page 39, and 51 more Sundays: a verse, a story and a prayer for every week of the year, three minutes each 👉 https://lorettaschurch.com/sunday?src... Hands folded on the table, honey. This is a short prayer, about the length of a cup of coffee. I'm Loretta, and in this video I read it to you slowly, one pair of hands at a time, and tell you where each part came from: the farm, the church basement kitchen, and the empty chair. THE PRAYER Lord, thank you for the hands that grew it, the hands that cooked it, and the hands we're holding. Amen. THE VERSES USED 1 Thessalonians 5:18: "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." Galatians 6:9: "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." Acts 2:46: "And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart." Psalm 147:3: "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." John 6:12: "Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost." THE WEEK PAGES The Thanksgiving prayer is week 35, page 39, of my book, Fifty-Two Sunday Mornings with Loretta. Every week has a verse, a little story from my life, one small thing to do that week, and a short prayer.
