Windy Days Bring These TANKS to the Surface! (Urban Dry Fly Fishing)

Windy days always get me excited to hit up some water and throw dry flies! The wind helps move and position food in predictable areas on the surface for fish, the choppiness of the water makes fish feel safer near the surface, and the choppiness also prevents the fish from being able to see the fly line and leader as well. All of these factors make dry fly fishing very effective! On this particular windy day in Phoenix, Arizona, I visited an urban pond and casted dry flies at surface cruising common carp. It was a blast! __________________________________________________ Gear I use, have and/or like! 👇👇 *Affiliate Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
