How to Sew a T-Shirt Quilt // Start to Finish Sewing Project

Turn all of those old t-shirts in your closet into a memory blanket with this DIY sewing tutorial! I show you step-by-step how to stitch the t-shirts together, layer them with batting, and create a nice border around the outside. This project is slightly more advanced because of the extra layers and steps, but could still be done by a beginner! An alternate way to sew it: If you don’t want the edges to roll under when quilting, cut the batting to the size of the t-shirt top NOT including the border (so the batting won’t go all the way to the edges). After sewing the back on (28:09), turn the quilt right side out and use your hands to push the batting into the middle of the quilt through the opening and pin it in place with safety pins.
