In this lecture we write our first real NumPy code. We set up NumPy in Jupyter, turn Python lists into arrays, build 1D and 2D arrays, use NumPy’s ready-made arrays (zeros, ones, full, arange, linspace, eye), and learn how to check an array’s shape, ndim, size, and dtype. We also cover the dtype gotcha that trips up a lot of beginners.
Type the code along with me as you watch. That’s how it sticks.
