Mangapps Railway Museum Gala 30th August 2026

On the 29th, 30th, and 31st of August, Mangapps runs its gala with home fleet locomotives and units, plus visitor GER Y5 229. Five rakes were in use, including a Canadian Pacific Railway Caboose, with two GNR Gresley rakes together, a BR MK1 Suburban with an LNER Ballast Brake Van, a single BR class 117 W51381, and two BR class 302 units. Home fleet: W. G. Bagnall 0-6-0PT 2613 Brookfield. Designed for a metre gauge railway in Turkey, but completed as standard gauge for the UK. BR Class 03 D2081 Lucie Repatriated from Belgium in 2004 BR Class 03 03158 BR Class 03 03399 BR Class 04 11103, the solo survivor of Class 04 that ran on the Wisbech and Upwell Tramway. BR Class 04 D2325: First locomotive to arrive on site in April 1987 BR Class 31 31105 Radio Caroline Visitors: GER Class Y5 229 was recently restored by Bill Parker, of the Flour Mill Works
