State and Mengo impasse continues a year after Buganda Riots

It is a year since the death of over 30 people in riots that rocked Kampala and its environs. The riots were sparked by the Government's refusal to allow the Kabaka of Buganda visit Kayunga District. Although the day passed on quietly, the frosty relations between Mengo and the Central Government continue.
