🌺 The Spiritual Tradition of Thirumoola Sri Chakra Temple & Worship of Sri Chakra 🌺 Welcome to Thirumoola Sri Chakra Temple, where Sri Chakra is worshipped as the principal form of worship—the Moolavar, following our traditional spiritual lineage and the guidance of our Gurunatha. The renovation and development of our temple began in 2017. On 1 January 2018, on the Full Moon day of the Tamil month of Margazhi, the Sri Chakra was formally installed according to the traditional lineage associated with Tirumoolar and the worship practices connected with Agastya Maharishi. The Sri Chakra established in our temple is regarded as Vak Bhava Kootam and is worshipped in an upright position according to our spiritual tradition. Sri Chakra is also traditionally known as Brahma Yoni, representing the fundamental principle of creation and the source from which the manifestations of life arise. At the heart of our worship is the understanding of Parabrahman — the One Supreme Absolute Reality, from which all divine manifestations arise. According to the spiritual significance of each Tithi, different forms of the Divine are worshipped: 🔱 Sankata Chaturthi — Lord Ganesha 🦚 Shashti — Lord Murugan 🌺 Navami — Devi 🪷 Ekadashi — Lord Vishnu 🔱 Pradosham — Lord Shiva Traditional flowers, sacred leaves and herbs associated with the respective deities are also used in worship. Since 2018, Vilakku Pooja (Lamp Worship) has been conducted on every Full Moon day. Even during the COVID-19 period, devotees continued this sacred practice in their homes with devotion. A central teaching of our tradition is that the many divine forms ultimately arise from the One Parabrahman. Through Sri Chakra worship, different deities, Tithis, flowers, leaves and sacred offerings are understood as different manifestations of the same Supreme Divine Reality. Sri Chakra is also approached with the loving feeling of Devi as our Divine Mother. With the innocence of a child approaching its mother, devotees may offer their prayers, difficulties and heartfelt wishes with devotion, surrender and faith. 🙏 May the Divine Mother bless all devotees with spiritual strength, wisdom, peace and grace.
