From a shared pledge to action across Eastern Railway. Under the leadership of Ms. Gitika Pandey, General Manager, Eastern Railway, railway employees, Safai Mitras, passengers, students and communities came together to advance Swachhata through participation and everyday responsibility. Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 (17 September–2 October) brought people together through Shramdaan, awareness programmes and sustainable initiatives. Swachhata Pakhwada 2026 (1–15 October) strengthened these efforts through intensive cleaning of stations, trains and railway premises, supported by mechanised equipment and waste-segregation awareness. The ongoing Special Campaign 6.0 (2–31 October) continues this commitment through improved waste management, recycling, reuse, accumulated waste clearance and greater accountability.
