In this video, we walk through the step-by-step startup and automated debugging process for a GREE GMV6 DC Inverter VRF System following installation.
Unlike older generations, the GREE GMV6 requires a mandatory self-debugging sequence on the outdoor unit (ODU) mainboard before initial operation. Follow along to ensure your system is properly configured, verified, and ready for commissioning without risking compressor damage.
🔧 KEY STEPS COVERED IN THIS VIDEO:
1. Pre-Commissioning Verification:
Verifying line voltage and 8-hour compressor crankcase heater pre-heat.
Confirming non-polar CAN+ bus communication wiring (D1, D2) and master/slave DIP switch settings.
Checking vacuum levels, static refrigerant trim charge, and ensuring service valves are open.
2. Initiating Outdoor Unit (ODU) Automated Debugging:
Navigating the mainboard LED display and using SW1/SW2/SW3 buttons.
Triggering the automatic check sequence (Code "db").
3. Key Self-Diagnostic Stages:
01–05: Communication check & indoor unit (IDU) auto-addressing/quantity confirmation.
