It comes from a ranching history and has had some very interesting people call it home. The town peaked in the 1950's with around a population of 2100, and has fallen to under 1,000 in the 2020 census. However, there is still a lot remaining and some very interesting things to see. Lots of old buildings around town, and a ton of parks to explore! I really had fun during my time in Spur!
