Watch Cecilia Xiao transform a blank sheet of wet paper into a lush, atmospheric secret garden using bold alla prima technique. She drops layers of lemon yellow, violet, and crimson onto glistening wet paper, then pushes pigments with pure water to create magical blooming cauliflower effects. Learn how to build depth through multiple transparent layers and why the key to this technique is patience — waiting for exactly the right moment when the surface reflections disappear. The result is an enchanting floral painting that looks effortless, yet hides many layers of careful work. ⏱️ Timestamps: 0:00 First Wash on Wet Paper 8:05 Blooming & Cauliflower Effects 11:08 The Art of Layering 12:52 The Finished Secret Garden 🎨 What you'll learn: • Wet-on-wet (alla prima) technique for atmospheric florals • How to create blooming cauliflower effects by timing water drops • Building depth through multiple transparent color layers • Working with timing — when to drop paint and when to wait • Why leaving gaps for light makes paintings come alive About Cecilia Xiao: 🎨 Watercolor artist blending Chinese brush and Western watercolor traditions 🌍 Teaching watercolor since 2022 ✨ Known for atmospheric floral paintings with rich color harmonies ✅ Subscribe to the channel: ‪@redpointschool‬ 🎨 JOIN US ON SOCIAL NETWORKS: Facebook ➤   / redpointschool   Instagram ➤   / redpoint.school   --- #watercolor #watercolortutorial #ceciliaxiao #wetonwet #allaprima #watercolorflowers #bloomingeffect #cauliflowereffect #watercolorgarden #floralwatercolor #watercolortechnique #howtopaintflowers #watercolorpainting #secretgarden #atmosphericwatercolor
