Organ Music for The Wave of Čiurlionis' Songs in Sudeikiai | 2026-09-27

Enjoy my organ playing recorded on September 27, 2026, at the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Sudeikiai, Lithuania, during “Čiurlionio dainų banga” (“A Wave of Čiurlionis’s Songs”). The event formed part of the 30th Aukštaitija Organ Music Festival, dedicated to the centenary of the Diocese of Panevėžys. This video features only my organ playing from the event. The full theatrical concert programme brought together the choir and contemporary dance students of the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts, actor Vladas Baranauskas, and myself, organist Vidas Pinkevičius. Combining the sacred atmosphere of the church with the spirituality of Lithuanian songs, the programme reflects two closely connected elements of M. K. Čiurlionis’s creative world. It was one of the principal projects of the government-coordinated “Čiurlionis 150” anniversary programme. Choir teachers: Gitana Trimirkaitė and Jaunius Šakalys Contemporary dance teachers: Lina Puodžiukaitė-Lanauskienė and Paulius Prievelis Thank you for listening!
