🕊️ Worship Service | Colchester Seventh-day Adventist Church 📖 Sermon Title: "Where Idols End and Ministry Begins" 👤 Speaker: Careen Lawrence 📜 Key Scriptures: Judges 6:14, 25–26, 36 What is standing between you and God's calling for your life? In this powerful and inspiring message, Careen Lawrence draws lessons from the life of Gideon, exploring how God calls ordinary people into extraordinary ministry. Before Gideon could lead Israel, he first had to confront the idols that had taken root among God's people. Through Judges 6:14, 25–26, and 36, we see that God often calls us to tear down what competes for our devotion before He can fully use us for His purpose. "Where Idols End and Ministry Begins" is a call to examine our hearts, remove anything that stands between us and God, and step forward in faith when He calls. In this message, you will discover: ✨ How modern-day idols can hinder spiritual growth 🙏 Why obedience often begins with surrender 💡 What Gideon's story teaches us about faith and calling 🔥 How God equips those He calls for ministry ❤️ The courage needed to trust God's direction, even when it's uncomfortable Gideon's journey reminds us that ministry begins when we place God above everything else. When idols are removed, God's purpose becomes clearer, and His power can work more fully through our lives. Whether you are seeking God's direction, wrestling with doubts, or looking to deepen your walk with Christ, this message will encourage you to trust His call and follow Him wholeheartedly. 🙏 Join us for uplifting worship, biblical teaching, and spiritual encouragement at Colchester SDA Church.
