Welcome back to OutsideWithKelly! Today we are diving into Part 2 of our prep series for an upcoming overnight backpacking and packrafting adventure. Before bringing Ella, out on the full trail, I needed to complete a solo test run to evaluate the pack weight, trail comfort, and gear setup. In this video, I take my backpack, weighed down to 25 pounds with my full paddling kit out into the woods to see how carrying an Alpacka packraft feels on the trail. After hitting the trail, I stop at a picnic table to do a complete pack dump and demonstrate inflating the Alpacka before taking it out onto the water for a paddle.
