I Turned a Target Haunted House Into a Gingerbread House! 🎄 | DIY Christmas Decor

What do you get when you take a haunted house from the Target Dollar Spot and give it a serious Christmas makeover? 👻➡️🎄 A gingerbread house, of course!🤎 In today's DIY Christmas decor tutorial, I'm transforming a 3D wooden haunted house into a whimsical, one-of-a-kind gingerbread cottage—and I may have gotten a little carried away with the details! I'll show you how I hand painted and embellished the entire house, including the windows, door, puff-paint "icing," and a decorative embossed pattern on the roof (a technique I learned from Hammons Nest). I also added Christmas lights, candy canes, wreaths, and tiny gingerbread men to bring this little cottage to life. And because I couldn't leave the chimney empty, I finished it with a festive floral arrangement featuring long pine, frosted greenery, berries, and candy canes. ❤️🤎 This is such a fun example of how you can look at an unexpected piece of seasonal decor and see something completely different.
