Israel cried for deliverance, and God answered by bringing them out of Egypt. But their answered prayer also led them through the Red Sea, the wilderness, hunger, thirst, and dependence on God. The method of your answered prayer may become your experience. What you prayed for may come through a process you did not expect. You may ask for promotion and receive a season of preparation. You may pray for deliverance and find yourself walking through a wilderness. You may ask God to change your situation, while God first changes you. Therefore, do not reject the process simply because it does not look like the answer you expected. God is not only interested in answering your prayer; He is interested in what the answer produces in you.
