This is the unseen, uncut original version of Walk On – the story of You'll Never Walk Alone that we made over a decade ago. This is the film as it was originally completed, before we licensed it to BT Sport. Their edit removed Kelly Cates (still can't quite believe that decision!) and added more of the 2013/14 Liverpool FC squad. Now, for the first time , you can watch the documentary exactly as we intended it. More than just a football anthem, You'll Never Walk Alone has become a global expression of solidarity in times of triumph and tragedy alike. The film asks: How did a Broadway show tune from 1945 become the most iconic anthem in world football? Featuring musicians, historians, former players and supporters, the film examines how the song came to embody hope, unity and resilience. It charts Liverpool’s rise under Bill Shankly, the electric atmosphere of the Kop, unforgettable European nights, its spread to Celtic FC, the Miracle of Istanbul, and the profound impact of Hillsborough, where the song became a symbol of remembrance as well as support. In this documentary: The origins of the song in Carousel (1945) Gerry and the Pacemakers’ defining 1963 recording How Liverpool supporters made it their own Bill Shankly and the creation of the Anfield atmosphere The song’s spread to Celtic and beyond Istanbul 2005 and the greatest comeback in European football Hillsborough and the enduring message of hope and remembrance A story of music, football, community and the power of standing together. #LiverpoolFC #Liverpool # LFC #YNWA #YoullNeverWalkAlone #Anfield #FootballHistory #GerryAndThePacemakers #BillShankly #Hillsborough #Documentary #LFC #KennyDalglish #Celtic #CelticFC #Football
