Schmersal Safety Gate System | AZM40, DHS Handle & BDF40 Controls

In this video, Ryan from the Scott Equipment Company Technical Team demonstrates a complete Schmersal safety-gate solution installed in our Automation Demo Van. The system combines three components designed to work together: BDF40 Control Panel The slim BDF40 provides convenient machine controls directly at the safety gate. Available configurations include an emergency-stop button and customizable illuminated or non-illuminated pushbuttons. DHS Door-Handle System The ergonomic DHS handle can be illuminated in seven different colors to communicate machine or guard status from a distance. The actuator can be positioned on either side of the handle, reducing the number of configurations required for different door orientations. AZM40 Solenoid Interlock The compact AZM40 provides safety-rated guard locking with an RFID-based electronic safety sensor. Its actuator offers 180 degrees of approach flexibility, allowing the same system to accommodate rotating and sliding safety guards.
