Instituto O Cantar da Floresta apresenta o Documentário "O Cantar da Floresta" com Tuwe Shanenawa e sua família. Tuwe é um jovem músico do povo Shanenawa da Aldeia Ni Shuvini, no Acre. Sua sensibilidade e sabedoria herdadas de sua ancestralidade e conexão com natureza, são sentidas em suas músicas, preenchidas de inspiração, espiritualidade e conexão. Se você tem interesse em conhecer mais das tradições de um dos povos Indígenas, originários deste País, assista! Neste dia 19/04, dia dos Povos Indígenas no Brasil, o documentário está sendo lançado em homenagem a Same Shanenawa, prima de Tuwe, grande professora do povo. Que enfrentou enormes batalhas para estudar e foi por anos professora da comunidade. Same fez sua passagem dias atrás, após descobrir uma leucemia e ter tido pouquíssimo acesso à atendimento rápido e adequadado, como é ainda a realidade da saúde indígena. Toda família e amigos sentem muito a sua partida, mas seu trabalho não será em vão. The Singing of the Forest Institute presents the documentary “The Singing of the Forest”, featuring Tuwe Shanenawa and his family. Tuwe is a young musician from the Shanenawa people, from Ni Shuvini Village in Acre, Brazil. His sensitivity and wisdom, inherited from his ancestry and his deep connection with nature, can be felt in his music — filled with inspiration, spirituality, and connection. On April 19 — Indigenous Peoples’ Day in Brazil — the documentary is being released in honor of Same Shanenawa, Tuwe’s cousin and a great teacher of her people. She faced immense challenges to pursue her education and was a teacher in the community for many years. Same passed away few days ago, after being diagnosed with leukemia and having very limited access to timely and adequate healthcare — a reality that still affects Indigenous health today. Her family and friends deeply mourn her loss, but her work will not be in vain.
