TAIWAN 2025: QINGTIANGANG GRASSLAND, BEITOU THERMAL VALLEY, BEITOU HOT SPRING & XIMENDING

Day 3 Itinerary – Nature, Hot Springs, and Night Market Fun For our third day, we visited Qingtiangang Grassland, Beitou Thermal Valley, Beitou Hot Spring, and ended the day with dinner at Ximending Night Market. Tamsui was originally part of the plan as well, but we decided not to push through since we were already exhausted and running short on time. One of the places I truly looked forward to visiting in Taiwan was Qingtiangang Grassland (please bear with my pronunciation 😅). It is also known as the “Switzerland of Taiwan.” This popular hiking spot is famous for its rolling green hills, wide open spaces, and peaceful scenery. Seeing it in person felt surreal—it was definitely worth the trip. Visiting Beitou Thermal Valley during summer, however, was not a good idea. Grabe, sobrang init! 🥵 Still, I was amazed to see how intensely hot and truly steaming the area was. We also stopped by Beitou Hot Spring to learn more about its history and cultural significance, which made the visit more meaningful. Since our accommodation was near Ximending Walker, we headed there for dinner. The lively atmosphere never disappoints, and the food choices are endless.
