Located near *Haltwhistle and Featherstone Castle**, **Featherstone Park POW Camp* was established during *World War Two* and became one of the largest prisoner of war camps in Britain. Thousands of German prisoners were held here, including officers and men captured during the later stages of the war. Today, much of the camp has disappeared back into the Northumberland countryside, but traces of its past can still be found if you know where to look.
