Another popular poetic expression which tells the story of Fatima Sughra and her letter to father, Imam Hussain was beautifully composed by Late Syed Maqsood Hussain; popularly known as Chakki miyan in our Qasba Mustafabad.
Maqsood Hussain was a disciple of Ustad Faiyaz Khan; one of the most popular vocalists of Hindustani Classical music and a descendant of the Rangila gharana of Agra. Although, Chakki Miyan learnt the Indian Classical from Faiyyaz khan but to remove the joyful content he specifically excelled the art of Soz-khwani from Sajjad Hussain; a prominent Sozkhwan of Lucknow. More than hundreds of soz were composed by Chakki miyan during his active years and are still popular in Mustafabad and awadh region; few of which we will share in series of Story of karbala through soz & salam later in few weeks.
