Canister Filter Setup For Beginners | SunSun HW-302 + Filter Media Guide

Canister filter setup for a planted aquarium using the SunSun HW-302. In this video, I'll show you how I'm setting up the filter for my 60cm planted aquarium, what filter media I'm using, and why I'm using each one. For this setup, I'm using coarse sponge for mechanical filtration, Seachem Matrix, ceramic rings and bio balls for biological filtration, fine filter floss, and Seachem Purigen for additional water polishing. I'll also explain the different types of filtration, how the water flows through the filter media, and a few things to keep in mind when setting up a canister filter.
