Brewing With Aged Hops

Learn More at: http://brewbeeranddrinkit.com/youtube/ - Brewing with Aged Hops I've heard of using aged hops when it comes to Lambics... the rule of thumb is to wait until the cheesy flavor is gone and use the hops for the anti-bacterial properties, but other than that, there is not much info on hopping rates or other uses of aged hops... Yet, I also have read that some brewers (especially in Germany) use aged hops to brew non-Lambic beers... and that's pretty much what a couple of days of research on aged hops boils down to... ... and since I am curious to know how aged hops perform... how bitterness from beta acids taste... well I'm doing an experiment... Will it improve my beers? I don't know.... Will it be detrimental to the beer? I don't konw... There's only one way to find out... stay tuned for the results...
