Trash! Service LLC - Dempster Economite Rear Loader in the Oregon Countryside

Huge shoutout to Simon and Nick for hosting Isaac Brock and I a few weeks ago, and for taking us all out on their Saturday morning route through some beautiful scenery in rural central Oregon. Last year, Simon and Nick started their own hauling business in Lane County just outside of Eugene, hoping to pick customers off one by one from their main competitor Sanipac (aka Waste Connections). They offer a wide variety of services at a much more affordable rate than the competition. To service their customers, they use this 1983 International Cargostar paired with a Dempster Economite rear loader. Prior to relocating to Oregon, this truck served most of its life at a school in Northern California where the typical industry wear and tear and high odometer readings were kept low, making a great starter truck for the boys in Oregon. All it needed was an exterior refurbishment and replacement of some original parts to make it route ready once again.
