Some people put on a mask. They disappear, and quietly build someone easier to love who smiles more or someone invulnerable who can never be reached.
Mirajane, one of Fairy Tail's main characters, is a very good example of that. Before her sister's death, she was defensive, sharp, hard to get close to. After, she became sweet, gentle, completely unrecognizable. It wasn’t just grief.
She swapped one mask for another, emulating the sister she’d lost.
And that's exactly the pattern I want us to explore today.
What happens when we put up a front instead of healing, why the "sweet" version can be just as much a performance as the "hard" one, and what it takes to actually integrate both.
I'm going to walk you through what a session would look like, starting with the intake, only with Mirajane being my client.
I'm Bamboo, a hypnotherapist and my mission is to help people heal by identifying their patterns, finding the root cause, changing the belief responsible — so they can break out of the loop they've been unconsciously stuck in.
🌑 I am Bamboo, your Shadow Healer.
On Becoming Bamboo, we use the patterns hidden in the stories we love to understand the ones we are living — and choose a different one.
