Daksh started his GMAT preparation with a 555 official mock score. Four months later, he scored 725 on his first GMAT attempt—with Q85, V85, and DI88. What changed wasn't simply his knowledge of GMAT concepts. One of Daksh's biggest problems was time management. He could solve questions accurately, but struggled to finish sections on time. In Verbal, rushing through RC passages and CR arguments often forced him to go back and reread them. In Data Insights, processing large amounts of information—especially Multi-Source Reasoning (MSR)—was taking too long. 👉 Reach Out to Daksh on LinkedIn and TopMate   / dakshjain9   https://topmate.io/daksh_jain_9/ ➡️ Get 10% off GMAT Club Tests on the Following Links Pro Package https://gmatclub.com/gmat-focus-tests... Instead of trying to read faster, he trained himself to understand passages properly on the first read. For DI, repeated practice helped him become faster at navigating tables, graphs, and MSR sets. His weakest section eventually became his strongest: DI improved from 75 on his first mock to 88 on the actual GMAT. Daksh's mock progression tells the story: 555 → 645 → 655 → 715 → 725 GMAT His preparation was also notably budget-friendly. Rather than relying on multiple expensive GMAT courses and mock packages, he combined a small local prep provider with GMAT Club, GMAT Ninja, official material, and the two free official GMAT mocks. He estimates that he solved around 800 questions on GMAT Club during his preparation. In this conversation, Daksh discusses: How he went from a 555 mock to a 725 GMAT Why time management was his biggest obstacle How rushing actually made his Verbal slower Training himself to read RC and CR passages once Improving concentration and avoiding unnecessary rereading How Data Insights went from his weakest to strongest section Tackling Multi-Source Reasoning more efficiently Why he chose DI → Verbal → Quant as his section order Using GMAT Club and GMAT Ninja during preparation Why he used only the two free official mocks and their resets What caused the jump from 655 to 715 in his final mocks Balancing GMAT preparation with a full-time job Why he reduced intensive practice immediately before the exam Choosing an evening GMAT appointment based on his own performance rhythm His experience scoring 725 on his first official attempt One of the biggest lessons from Daksh's journey is that a GMAT score doesn't always improve by learning more concepts. Sometimes, the real breakthrough comes from executing what you already know more efficiently—reading with better comprehension, controlling your time, and staying mentally fresh enough to perform.
