What does a day of fasting in Ramadan look like? In episode 2 of the series “The Holy Month of Ramadan”, we walk through an entire day step by step: the intention at night, Suhur before dawn and when it ends, the fasting day itself, breaking the fast at sunset with dates and water, “Bismillah” and the supplication when breaking the fast, to repeat along. Plus: why moderation matters and why it is worth sharing your iftar. Every statement is backed by the Quran and authentic hadith; each source is shown on screen. 📅 Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February; depending on the moon sighting and the country, it may be a day earlier or later. The times in the video are only an example: check the prayer calendar for your town. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 00:00 How to fast 00:32 The frame of the day 01:28 Step 1: The intention 02:19 Step 2: Suhur 03:00 When Suhur ends 04:13 The day of fasting 04:52 Step 3: Breaking the fast 05:19 Dates, water and Bismillah 06:07 The supplication when breaking the fast 06:57 Moderation, then prayer 07:57 Sharing the iftar 08:37 Summary and next episode 📚 SOURCES (each one is shown on screen) Quran 2:187 and 7:31 (translation: Saheeh International) Sahih al-Bukhari 1, 1918, 1919, 1921, 1923, 1954, 1957, 5376 · Sahih Muslim 1096a · Sunan Abi Dawud 2356 (hasan sahih), 2357 (hasan) · Jami' at-Tirmidhi 807, 2380 (sahih) We do not use weak narrations.
