After 2 YEARS of Raising GUINEA PIGS… We Finally Ate Them

For the last two years we’ve been running an experiment on our farm in West Wales. We wanted to know if guinea pigs could do two jobs at once: – Help manage grass in our blueberry orchard – And provide a low-input, grass-fed source of meat In this video we answer three simple questions: • Can guinea pigs replace our lawn mower in the blueberry patch? • What does guinea pig actually taste like? • And what does it really cost — in time, feed, and effort — to raise guinea pigs for meat? Along the way we share what worked, what didn’t, and one mistake we made that completely changed the outcome. This video includes a brief, non-graphic depiction of the reality of meat production.
