Thankful For This Small Backyard Homestead

Growing our own food in our backyard has changed our lives. The way we think, the way we want to raise our children, the way we are now eating and leaning towards a healthier, more self sufficient lifestyle.. all because we went down the rabbit hole of homesteading and never made it back out. Here in our backyard homestead you'll find backyard chickens that lay TONS of fresh eggs daily, wild children, a small but MIGHTY garden that has blessed us with SO MUCH homegrown food this summer, and then you'll find us.. Just a couple of normal people who were bored, got called stupid for not utilizing their backyard space, and went on a mission of growing and producing as much of their food as possible. This year has taught us a ton about homesteading, each and every single day that passes our homesteading knowledge has just been exploding. I truly believe if we can live this homestead life, anybody can. This is year two on the homesteading and growing our own food journey, I literally cannot imagine where the years will take us as we continue down this road.
