Located in southwestern Kenya, this land is the ancestral territory of the Maasai people, a semi-nomadic pastoralist community whose way of life has long depended on livestock and whose warriors are renowned for their courage and skill. The Maasai Mara National Reserve lies in East Africa, bordering Tanzania's Serengeti region. When the dry season begins in the southern Serengeti in June, countless wildebeest gather to embark on a migration of more than 800 kilometers toward the Maasai Mara, constantly searching for fresh, green pastures. Along the way, they must cross several rivers.
