In 1 Kings 6, Solomon was building the temple exactly as God had instructed, but in the middle of the project, God interrupted him. That interruption carried a warning we still need today: never become so consumed with what you are building that you forget the One who called you to build it. Your career, ministry, family, plans, and opportunities may all be good, but none of them can replace the presence of God. In this message, Pastor Tim Dilena challenges us to listen again for God's voice, remember His will, and refuse to move forward without His presence. Sometimes what feels like an interruption is actually protection. The Holy Spirit may be stopping you because He loves you enough to keep you from building a life that looks successful but has slowly moved away from Jesus. ⏱ TIMESTAMPS 00:00 Intro 04:00 Solomon’s Temple and the danger of losing your purpose 12:02 God interrupts Solomon in the middle of the project 13:03 God’s will, God’s voice, and God’s presence 17:17 When the project becomes bigger than the purpose 25:58 Choosing God’s presence over what looks impressive 33:59 God’s interruption is God’s protection 40:15 Jesus was never meant to be part of your life only on Sundays ABOUT THIS SERVICE Sunday Service is the moment when all of Times Square Church gathers to worship the Lord and share the Word.
