根室海峡 泊湾 Nemuro Strait, Tomari Bay

北海道の知床半島と根室半島の間にある泊湾からは根室海峡を眺めると国後島が間近にある。朝には国後島の方向から朝陽が昇る。野付湾の浅瀬には、エゾシカやキタキツネ、オジロワシや海鳥たちが集まり野付半島ではトドマツが地面の浸食により朽ち果てできたトドワラが独特の風景を醸し出し、そしてそこから知床半島の付け根に沈む夕陽を観ることができる。 This is a view from the vicinity of Tomari Bay, located between the Shiretoko Peninsula and the Nemuro Peninsula in Hokkaido, from morning until evening. In the morning, the sun rises from the Nemuro Strait in the direction of Kunashir Island, which is visible nearby. Wild animals such as Hokkaido deer, red foxes, and white-tailed eagles can be seen in the shallow waters of Notsuke Bay. On the Notsuke Peninsula, the withered fir trees, known as "todowara," create a unique landscape.
