EN CC created for you guys :) DE Okay… der Song hat wieder richtig Spaß gemacht. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EN This one was a lot of fun again – but besides the music, I found the theme especially interesting. The first verse briefly reminded me of “End of the World” by Ren & Chris Webby: that feeling of looking at everything happening around us and wondering what on earth is going on. Crises, social tension, political frustration, feelings of powerlessness – and at the same time, our search for moments that allow us to escape all of that for a while. Concerts. Parties. Travelling. Consumption. Maybe drugs. Anything that can give us a little joy, lightness or a sense of being alive again. And I find that especially interesting with Electric Callboy. During the pandemic, they released “Hypa Hypa” with a very similar idea behind it: giving people something fun, something to laugh about, and a brief escape from all the darkness. But then “The Savior” introduces words like “Messiah” and “Savior”. And that's where my exploration really begins: Who – or what – is the Savior? Is it the classic figure people start looking for in times of uncertainty and frustration – someone promising simple answers and solutions? Could the Savior be something within ourselves – something we can access when we turn down the noise, look inward and reconnect with our own ideas, resources and possibilities? Or does the Savior emerge through collective action – when people raise their voices, protest and try to change the systems around them? I don't know which of these perspectives Electric Callboy had in mind – maybe none of them, maybe several. 😄 And that's exactly why exploring “The Savior” was so much fun. What do you hear in this song? And who – or what – is the “Savior” to you? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter: 00:00 Intro 02:23 Reaction & chasing the high in bad times and getting real 11:09 Messiah or Savior? & about getting loud 18:34 finding the balance & the challenge of getting loud 27:00 Final Thoughts & Outro #electriccallboy #tanzneid #reaction #reactionvideo #musicreaction #germanreaction #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness
