Duck, Ross, Snow & Canada Goose Hunting - Saskatchewan Delivers A Full Day

One day. Two hunts. A full day of Saskatchewan waterfowl hunting. This episode starts with Rob guiding a morning Ross and Snow Goose hunt that turned into one of the fastest goose hunts he has ever experienced. The birds wanted in. Massive flocks of Ross and Snow Geese poured toward the spread, creating a fast, chaotic morning of incredible decoying and great shooting. We finished with a full limit, but what stood out most was just how quickly it all happened. Even after thousands of hunts, Rob was still in awe of how badly these birds wanted to get into the spread. For some of the clients, it was their first experience with Ross goose hunting like this—and they were left stunned by the pace and sheer number of birds trying to work into the spread. But the day wasn't over. After finishing the morning goose hunt, Shane spend the morning scouting out a duck feed for the afternoon. With the field located and the conditions lining up, we knew we had the makings of a perfect duck and Canada Goose combo hunt. The afternoon brought a completely different kind of action. Big flocks of Pintails worked the spread, ducks decoyed beautifully, and while the focus was primarily on the ducks, we were also able to scratch out a Canada Goose limit along the way. Two back-to-back hunts. Ross and Snow Geese in the morning, ducks and Canadas in the afternoon—all guided by Rob. It was an incredible day that perfectly shows what makes Saskatchewan so special and the opportunities available at Swift River Outfitters.
