With buckets and sacks in hand, they spend the morning picking corn, helping each other and working hard to bring the entire harvest home. After several hours of work, they take a little break in a sunny clearing, enjoying homemade sandwiches and a cup of hot tea right beside the field. Simple moments like these make rural life so special. Once the corn harvest is finished, there is still plenty of work waiting at home. Serhii cuts grass with a scythe while Nadiya cleans the garden and removes the old tomato plants, preparing the soil for winter. Later, Nadiya prepares a delicious homemade lunch: traditional fish soup and freshly fried fish. Meanwhile, Serhii brings the remaining sacks of corn home, and the family continues with their daily farm chores. They feed their cow Marta and the bull, collect fresh eggs, prepare pumpkins for the animals, milk the cow and take care of their beloved cats. Serhii also brings walnuts to dry in the attic. The day ends with a delicious homemade dinner and the satisfaction of another productive day together.
