In this special podcast, we speak with Satyashodhak K. E. Haridas, a person who has lived by the thoughts and ideals of Mahatma Jotirao Phule throughout his life. This conversation is especially timely as we celebrate the 200th birth anniversary year of Mahatma Phule. A commemorative volume on Mr. Haridas, titled "Phule Vichardhara: Swaroop Ani Disha" (फुले विचारधारा : स्वरूप आणि दिशा), has recently been published, and this podcast was recorded on the occasion of its release. Mahatma Phule founded the Satyashodhak Samaj in 1873 to fight caste discrimination and to promote education, equality, and social reform. In this episode, Mr. Haridas shares his personal journey, his work in the Satyashodhak movement, and his views on why Phule's thoughts remain relevant today. He also speaks about Gen Z and contemporary social reform movements.
