RS80 Custom Subframe Build RS3 Engine into an Audi 80

The RS80 project takes another big step forward as I start fabricating the custom front subframe for my Audi 80 Quattro. This subframe is being built from scratch to make room for the Audi RS3 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder engine, while keeping everything strong, correctly positioned and suitable for the Quattro drivetrain. In this video I work through the main fabrication, mounting points and tube layout. It isn’t completely finished yet, but most of the structure is now in place and it’s finally starting to look like a proper subframe rather than a pile of scrap metal. The finished car will combine an Audi 80 B3 Quattro shell with RS3 power, custom suspension and braking upgrades — hence the name RS80.
