I Fell for the Camino… Literally! | Bains to Monistrol d’Allier

Beautiful views, a heavy backpack, and a stumble I definitely didn’t plan. I’m falling for the Camino… literally! 🥾 On my second walking day, I head from Bains to Monistrol-d’Allier, passing through Saint-Privat-d’Allier and Rochegude. There’s time for a goat cheese salad, beautiful stained-glass windows, and a few reminders that walking through this landscape is very different from admiring it in pictures. Along the way, I’m thinking about a bigger question: What am I afraid would happen if I fully changed my life? Expect honest moments, a little history, some questionable footing, and a well-earned bed at the end. Dinner came with a surprise, too. But chili?
