This year's 2026 C.A.N.D.L.E. series is an intergenerational conversation with Morehouse Men on ethical leadership in the classroom and beyond. We are excited to convene with Dr. Robert Franklin '75, former and 10th President of Morehouse College, Dr. Terrance Mitchell '07, Dr. Donnell Williamson '15 & Jackson Bucker '26. The episode asks a foundational question for educators: What does it mean to teach as a moral practice? Across generations, the speakers answer that teaching is the work of helping students know who they are, interpret the forces shaping their lives, imagine a more humane world, and act in relationship with others to build it.
