Adrian Rurawhe - The new Speaker of the House

This week te Tai Haua-uru MP Adrian Rurawhe will be sworn in as the new Speaker of the House. It’s a big deal and a huge honour. Not only will Adrian be the highest authority in the House of Representatives – which is right up there with the Governor General – but he is also only the 2nd Maori to have been appointed to the job. Moana Maniapoto sits down with him in the Legislative Council Chamber at Parliament.
