Early Childhood Education in Dominica Group 22

This video is a group presentation prepared as part of our coursework at the University of the West Indies Global Campus. The presentation explores the history and development of Early Childhood Education in Dominica, highlighting how the sector has evolved over the past ten years to meet the needs of nursery-aged children. We also examine the influence of Maria Montessori and Urie Bronfenbrenner on early childhood teaching practices, discuss four benefits of establishing an early childhood centre within a community, and highlight Jamaica's efforts to improve Early Childhood Education through curriculum development and staff training. Our presentation emphasises the importance of providing quality early childhood education to support children's holistic development and lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
