Sarah Jessica Parker Fires Back at Critics of And Just Like That

Sarah Jessica Parker, best known for her iconic role as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, is speaking out about the backlash surrounding the hit revival series And Just Like That. Ever since the show premiered on HBO Max, fans and critics have been divided—some love it, some hate it, and others admit they “hate-watch” just to critique the storylines. But Sarah Jessica Parker isn’t bothered. In fact, she recently revealed that she truly doesn’t care if people watch with love or with criticism because the show has been “enormously successful” by every measure. The actress, who also serves as an executive producer, pointed out that And Just Like That continues to dominate streaming charts, spark online debates, and trend on social media. For Parker, the attention—whether positive or negative—is proof that the series still matters in today’s competitive entertainment world. She even compared it to the original Sex and the City, which also faced polarizing reviews but became a cultural phenomenon that shaped television history. With its bold storylines, evolving characters, and exploration of modern friendships, aging, and reinvention, And Just Like That has kept audiences glued to the screen. And as Sarah Jessica Parker puts it, she would rather have people passionately engaged—whether they’re praising or criticizing—than not watching at all. What do you think?
