At the Duga, I left the Armory with my Merc loot, going west across the road to a warehouse building. There was a grenade trap at the door I had to disarm, as I went inside where I found wooden crates that I busted open with my knife that contained food, drink, ammo and medical supplies. From there I went inside another building that I know I had already looted when I first arrived at the Duga, where I then got on the roof of it, and I jumped onto a truck surrounded by electrical anomalies and then down to the ground.
This was right in front of a large apartment building, that had an open door and stairs that took me up to an upper floor that I wanted to search. This was the location where some months ago, where I had discovered a Freedom spy that was observing the I.P.S.F. soldiers inside the forbidden area of the Duga. The Freedom soldier had threatened me to leave him alone, which I did, but later when I returned, I found he had been shot dead. No doubt by a sniper on the other side of the nearby perimeter wall. I found the apartment empty this time and no change to anything in the rooms, as I went out on the balcony on the south side, looking up and down the street not seeing anyone or anything.
I left the apartment building and went around it to the side, where I met a Loner with a Toz-34 who would not talk and told me to talk to his boss, that was nowhere to be seen. I went to the southeast back to the Fire Depot, to my stash hidden in a bathroom to drop off all my loot. From there I went across the street to the City Boiler House, where I went behind it to climb the tall smokestack for the best view of the Duga complex. I could look to the north at the locations around the Duga that was forbidden to any of the Loners. I looked to the far east, seeing the floating Aerostat flying above Zalissya. I climbed down, just as some nearby Loners got in a firefight with an unlucky Bandit, that I looted and dropped it in my stash.
The Loners went to the west side parking lot of the Fire Depot, as I got up on the roof, just as some Bandits attacked them from the woods across the street. I was able to shoot two of the Bandits as I saw a Loner that got too close fell to gunfire. There was a third Bandit hidden in some thick trees and bushes, that I kept firing at, but could not see very well. A Loner threw a grenade and finally got him. I got down to loot the Loner and two of the Bandits, while the third Bandit was looted by a Loner. This meant more loot to take back to my stash, as it was getting late in the afternoon, with me going back out looking for the Loners I had been with. I got on top of a fire truck parked in the street, as I heard gunfire coming from an open plaza around the corner.
I heard a Loner firing his weapon, as I ran into a mass attack by a couple of Pseudodogs and their many phantoms. I was blasting at all the attacking Pseudodogs, not knowing which were real or decoys. I killed the first real one, as I retreated back across the street, reloading and killing the last real one. All the phantoms vanished and to my surprise the Loner had survived, as we both went to the middle of the plaza, where we found several dead Zombies including one in an exoskeleton. We both looted the dead and I returned to my stash.
I loaded up on the most valuable used weapons from the recent loot and my stash, as I prepared my load to be a manageable weight, but that balance was ruined by finding some dead Bandits and a Loner at the main gate. That additional loot made me overloaded and made my progress a lot slower, as I passed the Radio Tower camp, making my way on the roads through the Burnt Forest to return to Kazkovyi Camp. I had to turn on my night vision as darkness fell, when going into the woods to the east of the road, I met a Duty squad that I talked to briefly, before continuing eastward through the woods and to the open fields beyond.
When I arrived at Kazkovyi Camp I went to my stash to drop off the excess supplies and mutant parts but not the weapons. I then took the load of yellow and red damaged weapons to Rascal, seeing he would pay 4,403 coupons for the yellow and 13,930 coupons for the red damaged weapons. I already knew Rascal was the worst paying Trader in the Zone I had experienced so far, but I had not actually compared a large load of weapons to ragman, the only other Trader who would buy red damaged weapons. I got Scoutmaster to take me to Rostok, where I did my comparison. Eugene paid me 7,772 coupons for the same yellow weapons, meaning Rascal would only give me 57% of what Euggene would. Ragman paid me 16,381 coupons for the same red damaged weapons, meaning Rascal would only pay 85% of what Ragman would. I had already stopped selling to Rascal, but I thought I would share this comparison for others to decide. While yellow weapons can be sold to all of the Traders, Rascal should be your last choice. While at Kazkovyi Camp, stash your used weapons and sell them elsewhere.
